Dallas Independent School District (Dallas ISD): 2026-27 School Calendar

The first day of school for the Dallas ISD 2026-27 school year is Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Staff professional development days run August 4-6, with teacher workdays on August 7 and 10 before students arrive. August 3 is a half-day PD / half-day workday.

The last day of school for the Dallas ISD 2026-27 school year is Wednesday, May 26, 2027. All schools have early release on this day. May 27 is a teacher workday with no students.

Spring Break for Dallas Independent School District is from Monday, March 15, 2027 to Friday, March 19, 2027. Students return to class on Monday, March 22. Note that Friday, March 26 is a Student/Staff Non-School Day, giving families an extra day off that week.
